"It is hardly your fault, Mister Smith, you have nothing to apologize for," she responded. "Such people seem to always be searching for new victims." Of course, she had no clue as to the truth behind everything. But even then, it wasn't his fault. A choice had been made, and he wasn't the one who had made the choice. She watched as he opened the trunk, blinking in surprise at seeing the true contents within. He was certainly a hunter, though it seemed that he more of a soldier or assassin than a hunter with the amount of weapons she saw. The newspaper clippings falling free caught her attention. Curiosity pushed her to bend down and pick them up. She read over the clippings, noting the main points of the contents. At first she'd thought they were records of another instance where the one who had murdered Christina and Dorian's family, but then she saw the date was from fifty-eight years earlier. If it was the same person, that would make them quite old by now, and she questioned how that could potentially be possible.
Helena shook her head, confused about the clippings more than anything. She wasn't putting things together quite the way she normally would. Otherwise she might have noted the similarities between when Dorian had told her and what the clippings said about the family that had been killed.
"A blast? Is there more than one person we are dealing with?" Really, she wasn't quite understanding the need for an explosion to be made. Not that she was against using it, she was all for making the responsible party, or parties, pay dearly for what had been taken from the both of them. "Though as long as it hurts, I see no problem in using it." She still held the clippings in her hand, and something was niggling at the back of her mind, trying to get her attention. But at that moment, she was more focused on going into battle, as it seemed they were about to do.
