Vampire. Well that certainly suddenly made things make a lot more sense. She had wondered why she'd never seen Dorian during the day, but until now she'd chalked it up largely to his gambling habits keeping him up at night so he slept during the day. But him being a vampire suddenly made things that much clearer. Perhaps she should be afraid of that, of knowing what he was and what Phoebe was, but she didn't have time to be afraid right now.
She gave a nod as he told her to fire if Phoebe came through the door. She readied her pistol in one hand, while her other grabbed hold of the blanket. She was ready to pull it over her if the need arose. While she may have been resigned to death if it came, the moment Dorian said this was her revenge for Christina, that fire she carried within her burst back into life, proving that she wasn't yet ready to die, not without at least trying to claim her vengeance.
Hearing Phoebe's voice through the door only fanned the flames within her. Every fiber of her being burned with hatred and anger at the sound of that voice, knowing it belonged to the woman that had killed her daughter. The same woman that had killed Dorian's family and made him a vampire. Anger drew her face taught, a cold hatred passing through her eyes.
Phoebe came through the door and Helena did not hesitate. "This is for Christina," she said a split second before she pulled the trigger, causing the explosives at Phoebe's feet to go off. With the first explosives lit and beginning a fire, Helena pulled the blanket over her, though she made sure she could watch Phoebe burn and meet her own death. She wanted to see the bitch suffer and die for the things she'd done.
