feellikeibelong: (020 - Holding it in)

Helena was too caught up in her emotions and venting at someone that she didn't notice there was no mark from where she'd punched him. She was barely thinking, let alone being observant of her surroundings aside from the blatantly obvious ones. While normally having an eye for detail, she was missing the details currently, and for good reason.

Had she known Dorian had only been playing a game with her, she would not have come searching for him in the capacity of needing someone to take comfort in. She would have instead come to give him one hell of a piece of her mind. "Four nights ago. The police seem complacent enough to say a wild animal killed her. No wild animal killed my daughter as nothing else in my home was touched as though a wild animal had rampaged through it. And if I knew who killed her I promise you they would not be drawing breath right now." She was every bit serious about that. "When I find who killed my daughter, I will take their life." And that was all she had to live for now. Vengeance was her driving force.

Suddenly, she sobered a bit from her anger. It was more a side-effect of the varying emotions she felt currently than anything else. Though being there with Dorian again made her realize how silly she must have been to track him down like this. "I do apologize for taking you away from your card game. I had no idea who else to turn to and I do not wish to return home." How could she ever go back there and call it a home without Christina there to greet her?
